Statement from the City of Villa Hills
Late Saturday evening, on February 20, 2021 at approximately 11:00 p.m. some members of the Villa Hills police department were confronted with an individual who showed a gun during a traffic stop. Police officers fired their weapons and struck the man. Officers and emergency personnel rendered first aid until the individual could be transported to the hospital.At this time, the matter has been turned over to the Kentucky State Police for investigation into the incident.
The City is fully cooperating with the KSP and is confident that it will conduct the investigation efficiently, professionally, and thoroughly. It is important to maintain the integrity of the investigative process, and therefore, the City and its officials will not be making any further public comment until that process is complete.
