UPDATE: ***SNOW EMERGENCY RECINDED 2/18/2021 AT NOON***
SNOW EMERGENCY EFFECTIVE SUNDAY 2/14/2021 6PM
In anticipation of the predicted weather forecast, which includes the potential for heavy snowfall and ice accumulation, the cities of Crescent Springs and Villa Hills have declared a SNOW EMERGENCY to take effect Sunday, February 14th at 6:00pm. Due to the uncertainty of the specific amount and duration of the winter weather and for the continuous potential for inclement weather throughout the upcoming week, this Snow Emergency shall remain in effect until rescinded by the Mayors of the cities, the Chief of Police, or other designee.
This emergency declaration will assist the public works crews with snow removal and combat the hazards from the residential streets and roadways. In accordance with Crescent Springs Ordinance 74.01 and Villa Hills Ordinance 74.24, it shall be unlawful to park a vehicle on a street for the duration of the emergency.
The Villa Hills Police Department will begin issuing citations and removing vehicles from roadways once the snow emergency goes into effect. Please assist us and the public works crews by removing your vehicles from the streets to allow them the space to treat the roadways and make them safe for the motoring public.
